Crosser capability is now flows in CONNECT

Build intelligent industrial data pipelines from edge to cloud

Understanding the transition to CONNECT

If you previously used Crosser technologies, you'll find the same proven low-code technology now available as flows in CONNECT.

AVEVA acquired Crosser to bring its real-time industrial data pipeline capabilities directly into the CONNECT industrial intelligence platform. The core technology you rely on—including low-code pipeline design, hybrid edge-to-cloud deployment, and extensive IT and OT connectivity—remains the same. What has changed is the platform around it.

Flows now operate as a CONNECT capability, allowing industrial data pipelines to integrate more naturally with CONNECT data management, visualization, analytics, AI, and the broader AVEVA portfolio.

Support

Where it used to be

The independent Crosser email and web helpdesk channels are officially closed. All technical assistance is handled under standard enterprise service level agreements (SLAs).

How to access it now

Existing cases continue without disruption.

Any new questions or issues related to flows in CONNECT should be directed to the AVEVA Knowledge & Support Center.

The core Crosser R&D and engineering teams were retained during the acquisition. They are still the ones fixing bugs and building new industrial connectors, but they now operate backed by AVEVA's larger global support scale.

FAQs

Crosser was acquired by AVEVA and its technology is now part of CONNECT. The Crosser product is no longer sold under that name. The capability lives on as flows, built directly into CONNECT as a native capability. For existing Crosser customers, the core technology is unchanged. What has changed is the platform around it and the broader set of capabilities it now connects to.

Crosser is now part of CONNECT. It still has the same pipeline builder, the same connectors, and the same deployment flexibility. That capability is now called flows and it is built directly into CONNECT with multiple purchasing options, including the activation of flows as a standalone capability through CONNECT. The technology simply has a new name, a new home and a broader set of things it can combine with. The Crosser solution is no longer available as an independent product.

The name “flows” comes from the Crosser team themselves. They named their technology “flows” because that is what industrial data does. It moves. It changes. It carries meaning from one system to another. When AVEVA acquired Crosser, that name came with it because it was the right one. It is now the name for this capability within CONNECT, reflecting both the origin of the technology and how it works in practice.

Flows are available as part of CONNECT. If you are an existing Crosser customer, the migration is phased and designed to work around your timeline. Your existing setup continues to run without interruption while you transition at a pace that works for your organization. If you are new to flows, contact us to find out what access includes and which option works best for your environment.

Moving to CONNECT means your flows now sit inside a broader industrial platform. Alongside the pipeline capability you already use, you get access to data management, visualization and digital twin capabilities. Your data can flow directly into analytics solutions and applications without additional configuration. You also get native connectivity to the full AVEVA product ecosystem, including AVEVA™ PI Data Infrastructure, AVEVA™ Operations Control and AVEVA™ Unified Engineering. The migration is phased and there is no pressure to move before you are ready. The AVEVA and Crosser commercial teams will be in touch to walk you through the process.

If you are already using AVEVA products, flows extend what you have. Flows integrate natively to AVEVA PI Data Infrastructure, AVEVA Unified Engineering and AVEVA Operations Control, meaning you can build real-time data pipelines directly from the systems you already run without custom integration work. Data processed through flows feeds into CONNECT alongside your existing AVEVA data, giving you a single place to manage, analyze and act on everything across your operations.
